CHRONICLE  1976-2017

With the founding of HOLZMAG, important European suppliers of woodworking machines were amalgamated in 1976. The sale of mechanical briquetting presses was added in 1997, and only one year later production began of own briquetting presses in the range of 50 kg/h.

1984 The development of a new pressing process, in which the friction conditions in the cone or clamp procedure are eliminated, was driven forward by the experience and the discovery that the wood area with its numerous varieties, different granulates, moistures, resin and oil components cannot be controlled by conical or clamp compaction. Results from this development phase were not long in coming; in 1984, the briquetting press Elan had already been demonstrated.

1986 The Hydrospeed briquetting press wins patent protection; after the successful years of the Elan presses, the Hydrospeed briquetting press developed in-house was introduced.

In 1987, HOLZMAG, was founded to concentrate on RECYCLING and REPROCESSING. At the same time, the company began its own production of crushing machines, which enjoyed an excellent market launch and quickly led to market dominance in the wood processing sector.

In 1988 a patent was granted for the Hydrospeed briquetting press. In the following years, the development of the first crushing machines and peripheral components such as bagging systems, silos and conveying devices was progressed further. The development of crushing machines was speeded up, and the process for a new revolutionary technology in crushing was patented, and

in 1993, the multi-edge rotors were presented at Entsorga and aroused great interest. The newly introduced technology in the crushing area had the result that only one year later the licence to manufacture was sold to Kawasaki. By the use of this technology, fields of application were opened which had previously been regarded as outside the range of crushing. Thus, in addition to domestic waste mixtures, tough materials, in particular fibres, film, foils and fabrics have also been crushed into defined granulates. The tool technology, which has been used in the multi-edge rotors since then, has also been registered for a patent. Another innovation was the drying technology of the screw dryer, which is used for high throughput rates when using plastic and film fractions. This was followed by developments in pelletising technology jointly with our licensee Kawasaki Heavy Industries of Japan.

In 1997, a licensing agreement for the distribution of HOLZMAG plant components in Latin America was concluded with the company Cajamar/Brazil. Internet: Another important step in 1997 was the launch of the website of Holzmag as one of the first commercial sites in the recycling sector. In 1998, 2,500 website visitors were recorded, legendary for the time. Only a year later there were already 30,000 visitors. As early as 1998, the first successful sales were achieved through Internet contacts. In 1996BricPelletierung was presented and patented by Holzmag.

In 2000 the further developed control systems of the briquetting presses and crushing machines were introduced. The operator panel and touchpanels have since become standard.

On 06.06.2005 co-founder and managing director Hannelore Päper died after a serious illness.

2011 Sale of the trademark rights of Holzmag together with the crushing-cutting technology with multi-edge rotors to the company METSO OY, Helsinki with its manufacturing location at "Horsens" in Denmark.

In 2011 BP-Recycling GmbH is founded, which will further develop the briquetting and pelletising technology and distribute it to licensees worldwide. The compression technology is being supplemented by installation technologies such as drying, separation or bagging.

2013 BP-Recyclingsystems GmbH applies for a patent for further developments in the field of pelletising technology.

2014 - 2017 The "Multiroll" pelletising technology based on the international patent claims

WO 2014/131657 A1 with state support has been further developed to industrial strength with a university.

2015 further development of the cutting machine "MultiCut" with new knive types, knive holders and universal drive unit.

2017 start with teh serial production of the "Hydropellet" Pelletizer
